What is it with people. No really why must they be so annoying. I mean Baby Boy is just really pushing my buttons lately. He refuses to take his meds which he knows makes him hyper active, rude, annoying, immature, and say and do things he wouldn't do if he took the meds.
I understand he has ADHD and all that but I have other friends that have that and they aren't as rude.
He refuses to take the meds because he thinks he is funnier without them or that he gets more attention. I give him more attention when he is nice and on his meds.
He knows I can't stand rude immature people. And he also knows that this is what he becomes. He does really small things like repeating that his baby brother took a "poopy" well umm ya he is a baby thats what he does. I can see telling me that once but to keep repeating it is a bit annoying to me. Then he does kinda big things. We were at the mall the other weekend and he knows I ask all my friends that have a tendency to shop lift not to do it when with me. I tell them I'm not going to lecture you about it I just don't want to get in trouble for your mistakes. Most of my friends respect this and have no problem with the arrangement. Blaise however did. We were at the Dollar Tree and he bought a few things and saw this lil glass square with an embeded drawing of a rose in it. His mom loves roses and had been really sick so he wanted to get it for her. But he didn't want to give up anything in the basket. Now this I find odd because he had the money to get that as well. But no he tells me he is going to put it back while I'm checking out. He checks out and we go outside the store and sit in a bench to talk.
He then pulls out the little glass cube and says look what I did. He smiles and giggles about it. I tell him I can't believe he would do that when he knows I am against it. I had reminded him of it when we got to the mall so he can't say he forgot. I told him it was extremely disrespectful to me to disregard my feelings like that. I don't want to get arrested for something he did just because I was with him. Even if they let me go it would still be on my record. Plus I have family in law enforcement around here. Which could put black marks on them. I explained all of this to him and he said he was sorry but he still wasn't getting it.
Later that evening we were out to eat with his friend well call him C-Man, C-Man is 30ish and has kids so he is mature and was very clear he was slightly upset when Blaise showed off the glass cube and told him he stole it. He was braging about it. He braged about it right in front of me. It was really annoying. He wouldn't listen to what C-Man wanted to say and just blew him off laughing about it. Whats worse is that C-Man's kids were in the car with us. The oldest one who is about 7 heard it the other one missed it. But still not a good influence. He needs to stop and think. I tried talking to him about it. He couldn't get why C-Man was upset at him.
When he takes his meds he isn't that bad at all. Hes a nice guy. In some cases meds for ADHD tend to drain a person of their personality but with him they don't hes fine on them. They just help him to think through his actions before he ends up pissing everybody off.
He ticked me off today and I guess I was still upset about how rude he was last weekend. And nope I didn't even come close to explaining everything he did. But I won't do that. I just hope he grows up and realises he needs to take the meds and consider how other people will feel about what he does and says. Especially when there are kids around. He doesn't need to not take his meds when he knows hes going to be around children.
He could say or do something that could put ideas in their heads which is very easy to do.
